JUSTIN SAMUEL'S 2000 GRAND JURY TRANSCRIPTS NOW AVAILABLE!
As has been widely publicized, Peter's former co-defendant Justin Samuel turned informant for the FBI shortly after his arrest in 1999. Transcripts of his plea hearing were quickly made public, erasing any doubt of his betrayal. After years of movement exile, Justin resurfaced in San Diego in 2002, prepared for the scorn he would face by soliciting the help of one activist willing to sacrifice what credibility he had to parrot Justin's lies publicly, functioning as his P.R. person with a conspiracy of deceit regarding Justin's cooperation.
Their lies, when exposed, had a remarkable ability to reinvent themselves- starting as "Justin didn't talk", upon the release of his plea hearing transcripts becoming "He talked, but he didn't say anything they didn't already know," to "Justin made a mistake and he's really sorry," to egregiously disgraceful heights, at one point suggesting absurdly that Peter and Justin had a "deal" that whoever was arrested first was permitted to talk.
Justin's limited success of passing off these lies to newer activist rested on the absence of the transcripts for Justin's Grand Jury testimony, which would now prove once and for all the extent of Justin's informing. Recently, after years of waiting, Peter's attorney obtained the transcripts, which we are making available here for the first time. And they're worse than anyone thought- where we find that not only did Justin implicate Peter, but who had knowledge of the fur farm raids in advance, as well as who gave him places to stay and paid for his ticket out of the country in the aftermath.
